IET Engineering Skills Survey 2021
The Institution of Engineering and Technology publishes an annual survey. Focused on skills in 2021, the report highlights valuable lessons from industry that are at the heart of the DEC programme:
- More engineering employers than before report a lack of applicants for their roles
- 49% of employers who think applicants do not have soft skills continue to think they lack teamwork
- 33% say that complex problem-solving skills specific to the situation are the concern
- 64% think sustainability will become more important to their organisation in the next five years
- Many employers think young people
entering the workforce do not have the
skills needed to work in their industry.

contingencies

Planning Inspectorate
The Planning Inspectorate for England and Wales is an executive agency of the Department for Communities and Local Government. Planning inspectors are responsible for deciding most planning and enforcement appeals on behalf of the Secretary of State, and play a role in relation to Nationally Significant Infrastructure and plan-making.

a diagram that shows the structure of an organisation and the relationships between the different people, departments, and jobs at different levels within that organisation
